Coppola "Disapproves" of Godfather Game
In an interview that will air today on AMC's Sunday Morning Shootout, Francis Ford Coppola expresses his distaste for an upcoming video game version of his Godfather trilogy. Coppola says he is in no way involved with
the Electronic Arts game, and was not consulted by Paramount before
they decided to go through with the project."They use the characters [from the film] everyone knows ... and then for the next hour they shoot and kill each other." The Electronic Arts website says that in the game, players will "join the Corleone family and earn respect through loyalty and fear." And that sounds fun how, exactly? Photos after the jump.

I love FFC and his films will be forever remembered and studied in film schools. But the fact remains that the novel is Mario Puzzo's and it is after all the original writer's work that is considered the source. I would be delighted to see more films directed by such genius but to deny the production companies the benefit of the VG industry is a bit too off.
I cannot wait to see the Marie Antoinette movie by the best new director the queen herself (I mean that with a great respect) Sofia and wish FFC had the chance to direct Pinocchio instead of ending up in litigations.
Good luck to all and yes now FFC has the chance of (if he wishes) to start thinking a little more seriously about VG. Why not I say everyone else is doing it.
