Michael Smith has been arrested for disorderly conduct, after waiting in line for 90 minutes to meet
Jane Fonda, and then subsequently spitting a mouthful of tobacco juice in the actress/author/aerobics diva's face. The incident occurred in Kansas City, MO, where Fonda is shilling her new book,
My Life So Far. In an interview with the Kansas City Star, Smith refered to The Artist Sometimes Known as Hanoi Jane as a "traitor". "There are a lot of veterans who would love to do what I did," Smith said. But, really - tobacco juice? What do you think this is,

I don't care if you're left or right, or up or down. I don't care how you feel about any particualr war. What matters is that while you have the right to disagree with actions our government takes, and the right to voice that objection, you do not have the right to "give comfort and aid to the enemy in time of war" which is exactly what Hanoi Jane did. I feel she should have been tried and executed for treason. Mr. Smith merely expressed his opinion of that.
