Jeff and James Israel are throwing a benefit party tonight in New York City to raise money for their new short,
Face Value. I saw their previous short,
The Tourist, at SXSW - it was quiet and dreamy and had a subtle sense of humor that I really liked. The new film, to be directed by James and Jeff from a script by James, is about "A
foreigner [who], working a mundane corporate job in New York City, finds
himself questioning his conservative values after meeting a promiscous
woman at a bar." The party is tonight at Eleven, on Orchard between Rivington and Stanton, from 7:30 -10:30 pm. Drinks are
free generously sponsored by Bombay Sapphire and Stella Artois, and there's gonna be some kind of wacky raffle, so go down and make a tax-deductible contribution. You can check out the flyer
here.
