Hayden Christensen to quit Acting Career?

Geez, woke up on the wrong side of the bed today? I'm happy tpo hear that mr Christensen, who happens to be one of the best actors of his generation, isn't willing to sell his sould for fame. Good for him. Hopefully he changes hhis mind and continue to act.

I would quit the movie business too. How could anyone stand to work with Padme gone? True, Luke and Leia would have probably been the cutest tykes, but we'll never know their growing up years , will we?

I think everyone is far too harsh on Hayden. I think he did an excellent job on a role that really had only one known ending (good lord, we've known he was going to go bad even before Hayden was born!). He played a very complex character that would be difficult for most actors to pull off, much less try to pull it off in front of a blue screen with a very limited dialogue and little to no character development. If anyone has ever seen him in other roles, he is actually very good. Also, Portman and McGregor who are very fine actors stunk a little too with the overall poor directing. I think in the last two films Lucas failed to capture Hayden's spontaneity and personality that you see in him in other acting endeavors and Hayden is getting an unfair share of this venom. If you watch the Star Wars II DVD, quite a few scenes were deleted that might have given Anakin much more personality and the relationship much more depth. Also, if you watch all the movies in order, in totality, you can see what Hayden and Lucas were trying to achieve in the rise and fall of Anakin and appreciate their efforts rather than deride them. REALLY, you all are too harsh on this obviously hard working and dedicated actor.

Yes, everyone is too hard on him. He is an excellent actor and played the character of Anakin Skyler/Darth Vader extremely well. I am sadden to hear he may quit, but I would understand. Not everyone enjoys their whole life on magazines and tabloits for everyone to exploit them etc. I will just have to enjoy the movies he has already made and if any few future ones. Good Luck on on being an architect.

OMG! OMG!!!! i luv him! not jst cuz he's hottt, but because he is an excellent actor and i luv watching him on screen. i really don't want him to quit acting because if he leaves, watch will we all watch at the movies?? but even if he does, i wish him all the luck with that and jst hope he is happy with wateva he wants to do. :) Iv'e only seen STAR WARS 2 AND 3 and i think he did and amazing job at it and i cried when i watched no. 3 cuz i luv him so much! he is SERIOUSLY THE MOST HOTTEST AND SEXIEST GUY LIKE IN THE WORLD!! OMG!! Geesh hayden never whines... well only alittle in star wars but that's only his role in the film! he i so handsome.. loving the lips hayden, im sad that he's quitting acting since hes the main reason i went to star wars, but all in all im glad hes not selling out keep on rocking HAYDEN!!

I am a 38 year old black female, and I think that Hayden Christensen is one of the best actors that I have ever seen. It was he that got me interested in the Star Wars films. Before that, I just thought of Star Wars as this boring epic. I can remember seeing Star Wars's The Return Of The Jedi in 1983 when I was 17 with my younger brother, but I was really not interested then. I only saw it because my brother was way into the movies at that time. (He still is. Smile)

I have just finished watching Episode 2 from 2002, and I love Hayden's acting. I am going to try to find other films and tv shows that he was in. It's kind of sad to learn that he is thinking about quitting acting. (just as I was getting interested in him) But, I can understand how he could make such a decision. If he does decide to become an architech, I hope that he will be very happy with that, because I think that he deserves the world.

I think hayden is a really great actor. I think it was nice of him to try to save his integrity. I think few people are like that. I admire him for that and respect his actions. I am really going to miss him because he's so great and so gorgeous. I love acting but like hayden I would always keep my integrity before money. I really hope he has a successful career and I wish him the best of luck. I hope he gets an awesome life and the best of everything because he deserves it. I he is just so telaented and makes the right desicions. I hope you have everything you've ever wished for and all your dreams come true hayden you really deserve it. he's gon' go his own way..become an architect, probably'd build sumthin' like the jedi temple.. *wHo KNOWS?* i'll be a nun in there if i could! LOL!! VERY few actors can decide like that. i salute him. rite after being in 2 of da many BIG, universe-reknowned movies!!
it's bad in da way dat we're gon' lose "the next BIG thing" in hollywood.. *sobs!* i wonder why he's not one yet rite now. only being criticised all the time?! like,hello?! he's one of the youngest actors around!his expressions are really good and i think no one can play anikin better than he does! for his age, he did relatively well!! unlike that stoneface, orlando..in case y'all haven't notice, orlando bloom doesn't have much expressions! well, HUNDREDS haf auditioned for playing da teenage/adult anikin..including Leonardo diCaprio and Ryan Phillipe..however u spell their names..i give no sh*ts. i dun think they can do it,y'know.. can u imagine!?plus, hayden has the BEST moves for all the lightsaber duels as he has been playing competitive tennis..he got a tennis scholarship,rite?

This is such a rumor! Hayden isn't givening up acting! He is already filming Decarmeran with Misha Barton and he co-owns a production company with his brother. Stop slamming Hayden just because he is absolutly beautiful! He didn't an amazing job playing Anakin. Lucas wanted Anakin to be a whinny teenager-That was his role! Get your facts right before writing this crap.

Well done to Hayden Christensen for such a fantastic performance in probably one of the most famous and difficult movies ever to take part in. Nobody could possibly have completed such a demanding task as well as he has. He has captivated audiences around the whole world, so it is a shame that he is deciding to quit acting - if this is actually true. I do not think that I have ever been so emotionally captivated by the character Anakin Skywalker - Hayden, your acting has given a different outlook on life!

Hayden Christensen is hot, and when i mean hot, I mean his hot.The first time i saw him was when I saw Star Wars 2.as soon as i saw him, I fell in love. if HAYDEN is really quiting, then go ahead in life. Being famous and people taking your pictures are not exactly important to your life. Life is too short, and every person should treasure it until the last moments. I think Hayden is an excellent actor! and he is HOT! I really think alot of people are being a bit harsh saying that he whines to much in star wars when he was told to do that! i think he did a really good job in Star Wars and every other movie he has been in! I really don't think he is going to stop making movies now!

I think it's great that Hayden isn't blinded by Hollywood. Plus, to comment on a few posts ago, he never said he would quit acting immediately, he's just thinking about it. That would maybe explain why he is filming a new movie. Perhaps he is still making movies so he can pay for his study without having to have debts.
Anyway, I think it's very cool, like I said, that his world doesn't revolve around Hollywood alone and that he still has dreams.
