David Duchovny and Ben Stiller on The TV Set

According to Production Weekly, former X-Files star David Duchovny will team with Ben Stiller for The TV Set, a new film from Orange County director Jake Kasdan. Duchovny will star as Dave, a guy with a pregnant wife and a lot of expenses. He should probably be celebrating because he's just sold a pilot for a television show - but that path takes him tumbling down a rabbit hole of dimwitted executives, talentless stars and micro-managing suits who seem determined to remove any hint of creativity out of Dave's work. Jane Adams and Will Arnett are also attached. Filming is set to start in LA on July 25th. Sounds like it has potential.
