Podcast: The State of Video Game Movies

The Picture Show podcast returns to Cinematical.com to take an in depth look at the state of video game movies. With a next generation of systems on the horizon, Halo, Dead or Alive, Far Cry, Bloodrayne and Doom in various states of development, we're in the middle of the second video game movie boom. Did the movie industry learn from their mistakes? Why do most video game movies suck? And what does the future of game movies look like? We tackle all these questions and more, including the upcoming Family Guy movie and a Box Office report run down in this week's Picture Show.
Let us grow with your comments and suggestions. If you give the show a listen, PLEASE leave us some feedback in the comments area. We're still working to improve the audio, if you have any podcast tips, leave them in the comments as well.

What is Podcasting?/How does it work? You can listen to the clip by downloading/clicking through the link above or...
If you’re new to podcasting the concept is simple:
You can subscribe to our RSS feed and our show (in mp3 format) is automatically added to your iTunes/WindowsMediaPlayer and/or your ipod/other Mp3 player. You can set this up by first downloading a really cool piece of OpenSource/free software called iPodder here: http://ipodder.sourceforge.net. Then you add our Feed (aka RSS) to iPodder (you can cut and paste that link into ipodder by right mouse clicking on it): http://www.cinematical.com/rss.xml.
Once you’ve added our feed to ipodder the software will check my RSS feed for changes every now and then. When it does find a blog post with an Mp3 file attached (called an enclosure) it will add that file to your iTunes and iPod (or other software/players). You don’t need to have a player of course, you can just have iPodder drop the mp3 file to your hard drive.

I was going to say something snarky along the lines of, "Um, what would even happen in a Pacman movie?" but then the obvious jumped out at me: you pit Pacman up against Miss Pacman, and you make it just as much about their relationship as about their mission to eat themselves through space and time. Call it "Mr. and Mrs. Pac."

Hi, guys... did you know that your RSS feed doesn't properly contain the podcast, such that podcatching applications, like iPodderX, can't directly download the mp3 file to iTunes?
tag in your rss.xml that points to the mp3 file's URL. Without that, it's a totally manual process of downloading the mp3 and then drag-and-dropping it to iTunes.

I think it's really cool that you guys are doing podcasts, but please include the proper links in your rss feed so that we can easily catch and download them. Thanks.
