What it costs to be Batman
I remember seeing Batman when I was younger and walking out of the theater telling my father I was going to be Batman. That's probably part of the appeal. Every kid wanted to be Batman. Well, Forbes.com takes a look at the money involved in fighting the forces of evil. Training: $30,000
The Suit: $1,585
The Belt: $290
The Car: $2,000,000
The Cave: $24,000 a year
The Alter Ego: $1,109,574
Butler: $200,000 a year
Final Cost: $3,365,449. Seems like do it yourself crime enforcement isn't cheap now-a-days.

You know, I thought it would have been more expensive than that.

What part of the "The Alter Ego" costs $1,109,574? So it's expensive to have a split personality now?
I guess the shrink bills but I don't think batman has one.

They didn't do much research here. The suit alone cost $300,000(not $1,500) according to Morgan Freeman's character not counting the custom cowl, cape and ears... And I'll bet the car cost 10 times their estimate for R&D. And... oh no I've geeked out! Curse you Batman!

If you read the article, you'll see the list is composed of real world equivilents to the various things Batman uses to fight crime. The $2,000,000 is for an armed and armoed hummer. And the alter ego money goes towards buying expensive dinners, shows and gifts for your european models (they don't come cheap)

I think I may just become a hero-in-training. It actually costs less to get a room and kung-fu training than than for my apartment's rent.
On the other hand, I'm not too sure if their training is on par with the League of Shadows.
