Charlie & The Great Glass Elevator

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
director Tim Burton flatly told reporters "No" when asked if he was
interested in adapting the Roald Dahl's sequel to Chocolate Factory - Charlie & The Great Glass Elevator.
Johnny Depp isn't saying no, however. So a Tim Burton-less sequel may not
be out of the question if the first film does well at the box office
(which might be close to impossible considering the current box office
climate). Depp is busy filming the next two Pirates of the Carribean movies and has no set plans after. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Avoiding sequels is usually a pretty wise idea. I remember reading this book once upon a time and it wasn't on par with the original Dahl classic.

I feel that in the right hands, "Charlie and the Glass Elevator" would be a great story to film. I don't beleive it has reached the screen as of yet. Johnny Depp would surely be the logical choice and it may be worth the wait for this the happen.

They Better Do a movie on Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator. Because they have two movies on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and none on the sequal. Somthing is missing there. And avoiding Sequals is not a wise idea for this very reason.
