Domino Found Dead
Filed under: Celebrities and Controversy, Obits
Domino Harvey, the subject of a film to be released this fall starring Kiera Knightley and written by Donnie Darko's Richard Kelly, was found dead in a bathtub in West Hollywood on Monday night. The 35-year-old Harvey, daughter of actor Laurence Harvey and a former Ford model, had been making a living as a bounty hunter for the past twelve years. At the time of her death, she was facing life in prison on a variety of drug-related charges. The reports I've read generally seem to assume that Harvey's death was an instance of drugged-up drowning, but toxicology reports are not yet in. The Knightley film, called Domino and directed by Tony Scott, has already been delayed by reshoots designed to incorporate Harvey's recent troubles with the law. Though New Line was planning on releasing it in August, it's been implied that Scott may want to take the time to take advantage of the story's new ending.

Personally, I am not familiar with the late Domino Harvey but her story sure sounds interesting. I will surely check out "Domino" when it is released this Fall.

I have heard good things about the film. But, I guess these are the hazards of doing a biopic on a person who was still very active in life. You miss putting things in the film and then the story itself is incomplete. It doesn't do full justice to the subject.

From a script standpoint, the main problem here is that any movie which features Keira Knightley as a skanky bounty hunter needs no script, and has no problems.
Hell, I'd see such a movie, even if it were directed by...Tony Scott.
