First Look at Titanic
Filed under: Drama, Romance, New on DVD

You may have heard that director James Cameron is giving Titanic the Special Collector's Edition DVD treatment. Well DigitalBits has a first peak at the two new versions... a 2-disc release and a 4-disc release, both of which will street on October 18th. That deluxe collector's edition looks pretty nice to me.

I LOVE the covers!! Especially for the Four disc!! That's the one I'm planning on getting! God, it took this long for James Cameron to give us a Special Edition!! I have been waiting for this ever since I bought the original DVD!! I realized there were no bonus features, and that kind of brought me down, because I was expecting them, since I read about the cut scenes and stuff like that. I always wanted to see the Behind the Scenes...that's the best part about having the DVD, and now, after almost eight years, we are finally going to get it! Thanks so much James!! You don't know how much this means to me!!
Now, all I have to do, is wait for October,18 to come!!

Ivana, well said! :)
I too was disappointed when the trailer was the only thing that was on the DVD. I can't wait to see what else will be on there. I am really looking forward to the deleted scenes (especially the "Wish Upon a Star" scene), and some cast interviews, etc. Thank you so much, James! You should've done this a while ago! ;)

I too am looking forward to the deluxe edition, This one of my favorite movies of all time. When the band plays "Nearer My God to Thee" and we see the ship in its death throws sends a chill down spine every time. James Cameron captured all in this epic, the hopes and dreams of thoses who boarded the doomed ship as well as the tragic loss of life. I eagerly await the day of release.
