Rogers defends ex-husband Cruise's marriage
Filed under: Celebrities and Controversy
Tom Cruise's ex-wife Mimi Rogers defended his new relationship with Katie Holmes in a recent interview. I honestly think she makes some good points. "Here's the thing, you're the biggest movie star in the world, you've got a gazillion dollars, why does he need to do anything?" Rogers told Femalefirst.co.uk. ""[Is he] like, 'Let's see, I'm the biggest movie star in the world. I have a gazillion dollars I need to do a fake wedding.' Explain that to me. Let's look at Katie Holmes: 'I'm 26, I'm gorgeous, I have a huge movie that just opened, I've got like 10 million offers. I need to have a fake marriage.' Maybe they fell in love and they're getting married - it's the only rational answer that I can come up with."
Cruise and Rogers were married for three years in the late 1980s.

Tom Cruise and Mimi Rogers were only married because Tom was having an affair with Mimi's brother...

TOM CRUISE: Pathological narcissism occurs in two forms, (a) a grandiose state of mind in young adults that can be corrected by life experiences, and (b) the stable disorder described in DSM-IV, which is defined less by grandiosity than by severely disturbed interpersonal relations.
To paraphrase Freud, “Sometimes an asshole is just an asshole.”
These aspects of modern psychology almost make Tom Cruise’s Scientologic makeup believable if not downright likely. *******************************************************
Cruise has been a star since he was a teenager and hasn't had any important influence in his life to say "no" Tommy, you can't do that. You can't attack the millions of people that suspend their disbelief to enjoy your action movies by ignoring the fact that you are only 5' 6" and weigh about 140lbs. We ignore the fact that all of your wives and girlfriends have to wear flats while you wear lifts and they still have to bend down to give you a kissy-poo.
Millions of the victims of your childish words hurt very ill women and men. It takes an awful lot of psychiatric therapy and drugs to keep them healthy. I spent 20 years as a Naval Aviator (like the one they made you a star) and personally completed four tours of duty in the Red Sea, Arabian Gulf and Adriatic and now that I am a retired Navy Commander. I am now being treated well for Post-traumatic stress disorder.
Tom Cruise identifies with the acting roles that he has been so fortunate to profit from and has found a religion that was founded when I was a teenager, when lava-lamps and silly putty were equally unique and en-vogue. That’s how Dianetics fit into the history of life. Dianetics isn’t even in the dictionary for Christ’s sake! YOU DO NOT KNOW THE HISTORY OF PSYCHIATRY; YOU ONLY KNOW WHAT SCIENTOLOGY HAS TAUGHT YOU...AND THAT IS A VERY DANGEROUS GROUP OF MEN AND WOMEN AND YOU ARE THERE PERFECT SWORDBEARER. IT WILL BE YOUR DEMISE. L Ron Hubbard was a failed novelist who started a religion on a lark and HOLY COW did he have good timing.
After continuing with Scientology for a while, Scientologists read a bulletin called "Pain and Sex", which states that sex is unnatural for humans and a perversion, and that sex was invented by psychiatrists millions of years ago to trap us. It says that "pain and sex were the INVENTED TOOLS of degradation" created by psychiatrists, and "the stocks-in-trade of psychiatrists are PAIN and SEX." This is a key teaching behind Scientology's vehement opposition to all forms of psychiatry - the bulletin says that psychiatrists "have been on the [time] track a long time [in other words, they've been around for millions of years] and are the sole cause of decline in this universe." According to this teaching, "When sex enters the scene, a being fixates and loses power", and "Lovers are very seldom happy." This is commonly reported as the reason that Cruise’s marriages fail.

Tom Cruise is gay? Wow, big revelation. You ever see that SNL "Weekend Update" bit where they said something about gay rumors and then showed Cruise jumping out of flames on the cover of vanity fair?
I'm not saying he's gay, but his behavior is very consistent with someone who wants to appear to be straight. The whole Katie Holmes thing popped up just before both were going to be in movies that could secure big future deals for both if they were hits.
People speaking for "Batman" have already said Katie Holmes won't be back. I thought the was the weakest part of that movie, and I used to sort of have a thing for her.
