Now that's a Transformer!

Michael Bay's The Island hits theaters on July 22nd, but many fans are looking forward to his next film, the live action adaptation of The Transformers. I just got word that some guy from Oxford England has built the first real life Transformer out of a Mini Cooper r50. You can find a load of information, photos, videos, and more at his website at the link below.
Update: Turns out that the website is a hoax, but a hell of a hoax at that. Still worth checking out if you ask me.

I know what I want for my birthday now.......
I wonder if this guy can turn my electric wheelchair into Optimus Prime. I shall call him Evil Wheeler!

This is a hoax done by Mini. This is a good year and a half old. Convincing, no?

If I'm not mistaken, that website is a fake. It first made the rounds a year or so ago and turned out to be just a promotion for the mini cooper. Just fyi. http://www.engadget.com/entry/8143727636215695/

Not sure if it's fake or not, but the video of the MINI transformer stopping the Land Cruiser-ish vehicle looked pretty real. And impressive.
Now if this would only be a factory mod like the JCW kit!

If Micheal Bay rapes my childhood cartoon with product placement to any degree that's even remotely similar to "The Island". I'm going to...cry.
