Estevez talks Breakfast Club sequel
Filed under: Comedy, Drama, Universal, RumorMonger
As you know, the Breakfast Club cast to reunited in June at the MTV Movie Awards, and a Sixteen Candles sequel may be in the Works. Now, CM reports that Emilio Estevez has signed on to appear in a Breakfast Club sequel,
despite missing the reunion last month due to a family emergency.
"John's got an idea for a sequel - mature aged students at college, all
doing time again - for some reason or another," reveals Estevez. "The
twist would be that we're all the polar opposites of how we were in the
original." Judd Nelson's character, for example, would now be the straight-laced
one. But Estevez stated that he's definitely in: "If it happens, I'm
there."

breakfast club 2 . . . only complete and utter disaster can await around that corner.
but seriously, isn't estevez "there" for just about any half-assed project at this point in his "yesterday's news" career?

...and the movies executives just can't figure out why revenues are dropping and no one wants to go to the movies anymore.

Oh, Emilio says "He's there"? Shocker there.
As if he'd turn down "Wisdom 2" or "Men at Work 2."

Men At Work 2 would rock. That, I think could actually happen. Breakfast Club 2 would never happen. Although, John Hughes hasn't done respectable work in years.

obviously, many of you haven't seem emilio's more recent work...try "the war at home", co-starring Kathy Bates and Martin Sheen --- and which he also directed---- along with "rated x", which he co-starred in with brother Charlie and directed. he is not only an incredibly talented actor with a wide range, but an even more amazing director. i bet we'll see a lot more of him in that role!

Emilio Estevez has become one of the most sought after directors for TV. He has recently done a couple of episodes of "Cold Case."
Haven't seen him do much acting lately. In fact, I think the last thing was two years ago when he did a cameo on "The West Wing," playing a younger Jed Bartlet on the episode, "Twenty Five."
