Did Diaz reject Whedon?
Filed under: Warner Brothers, RumorMonger, Fandom
Cameron Diaz has reportedly turned down offers from Warner Bros. to play the title character in Joss Whedon's still in development Wonder Woman. Apparently - and here's the point where you should put down any sharp objects which you might drop and sever a toe with - she did so because she wants to take more serious roles.
Let's all take a moment and remember this is the woman who made her career by using something as hair gel which was never meant to be used as hair gel. Everyone's got the right to stretch themselves but you should also know your limits. I would never presume to, for instance, train ferrets to sing Carmina Burana. I'm just saying.

I think she's afraid of getting stuck in crappy Charlie's Angels-type movies from here on out.

I'd have said that about Jim Carrey too, but he did quite well in Eternal Sunshine.
