Colin Farrell sex tape scandal - blogosphere makes him sue!
Filed under: Celebrities and Controversy, Newsstand
Colin Farrell has decided to sue ex-girlfriend Nicole Narain over the possible pending release of a sex tape they made together - and it's all because of the bloggers. As we reported yesterday, various outlets (mostly either Gawker-related or Gawker rivals) have been pushing this sex tape story for days; the butt of most of the jokes (pun definitely intended) are reports of a double entendre Farrell makes on the tape about Narain's cat, and his mid-copulation announcement that he could "do this from breakfast lunch and dinner."According to today's LA Times, such idle internet chatter has pushed Farrell to get litigious. In his suit, filed yesterday in Los Angeles Superior court, Farrell alleges that Narain, along with the two porn impressarios that she's recently joined forces with, "have contacted various members of the media to discuss the tape and their efforts to sell it. Indeed, its existence has been rumored and discussed on the Internet blogosphere in recent days." Here at Cinematical, if we can do even just a tiny part to get celebrities to freak out and call their lawyers, well, it makes us feel all warm inside...

If you are in the public eye, anytime there is a camera involved, whether it be professionally or privately, there is always the danger of its contents being exposed to the public. Everyone is out for the almighty buck and even your best friends can be bought. It's just the price you pay for celebrity status. Shame is the star who expects explicit photos or videos to never show up in the tabloids or the internet. It's happened time and time again. You would think by now a lesson would be learned.
