Notorious B.I.G. gets another biopic

Eight years after his death, the movie train has just started to roll on all things Christopher Wallace, AKA slain rap star The Notorious B.I.G. Just a few weeks after Sylvester Stallone announced that his dramatization of the murder investigation would skip theatrical release to premiere on HBO, Fox Searchlight has revealed that it's talking to director Antoine Fuqua about a feature following Biggie's life story. The script is being written by first-timer Cheo Hodari Coker, a journalist who was the last person to interview B.I.G. before he died. Biggie's mother, Voletta Wallace, who has been actively promoting her son's legacy for the past decade, is playing producer. She says that whilst documentaries have tackled the events of the murder and Biggie's rap career, "nobody knows Christopher the human being...It's time for people to know the real him."

Sly missing the big screen for an HBO movie release? Last I heard from him was on the Jim Rome radio show and he said he was shopping Rocky 6 and it was called a "puncher's chance" or something like that. I sure hope _that_ project was shelved. We don't need to see another aging Rocky Balboa story.
This B.I.G story could be promising though if done well.

I think it's wonderful that Sly wants to bring B.I.G. to television. Although I could see it at a theatre lots of people would be interested in hearing what really happened. And I think it's good someone's telling the story. Lives were lost here and No one seems to care what really happened just got swept under the rug. I'm looking forward to seeing it. And hearing more about what happened. I know Sly will dig deeper than what the papers say on the surface surronding this Singer's death. Go Inspecter Sly!
And another Rocky in the works YEAH!!! can't wait. He needs to bring this character full circle. I just hope its not a sad ending... Stay tuned for Rambo 4 coming in the near future.
all I can say is it's about time.. Sly rocks!!
