Jessica Simpson, Princess Diana ... whatever.

Are all rich blondes essentially interchangeable? That's the question begged by this morning by Moviehole, who are spreading the rumor that Kevin Costner is looking to cast Jessica Simpson in a sequel to The Bodyguard - in a role originally intended for the late Princess Diana. Costner wrote a script years ago with Diana in mind for the role of a political missionary working in Hong Kong, with whom Costner's bodyguard character would inevitably fall in love. "Ideally, it would be great to get someone like Jessica Simpson on board to take the story to the next level", Costner told OK! Magazine. Yes ... well ... it is true that an endlessly suffering post-royal humanitarian martyr would have worked on a ... different level than that our National Ambassador of Stripper Chic.

Perhaps this is just an excuse for Simpson to record a cover of Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You."

Dude, Costner is a little old for Jess isn't he?
I mean, he could be her father.
Plus, I don't think that would be very beleavable.
I mean, Costner with gills behind his ears, yes, I totally could see that happening, Costner getting it on with Jessica Simpson....not so much.
I think it's just an excuse to feel someone up that's a third his age.
