Tim Burton and Susan Sontag events at Lincoln Center

Man, Film Society at Lincoln Center is on fire. The Reeler told us yesterday that FSLC has planned an evening with four of the five men that could be credited with turning the music video into a stand-alone art form: Anton Corbijn, Mark Romanek, Jonathan Glazer, Stephane Sednaoui and Michel Gondry (David Fincher is presumably busy with other things). Now two new press releases have been slipped under the door of Cinematical headquarters. First off: Tim Burton is going to appear the night before the music video event, to present an advance screening of The Corpse Bride and answer questions from the audience. Then, on September 22, Lincoln Center will host a program dedicated to the late Susan Sontag, featuring screenings of the two films she directed, Duet for Cannibals and Brother Carl. Wow! The coincidence of this event and the release of the second set of Palm Pictures' Director Label DVD series is uncanny.
