Whenever you see a celebrity on television and they are at a sporting event, they will be rooting for either the Los Angeles Lakers or The New York Yankees. This is because they don't really follow sports and they just throw on the cap from one of these teams and root for them so they seem like a regular Joe or Jane.

you forgot the Knicks. Well, that's if we still consider Spike Lee and Matthew Modine celebrities.

I have to agree with you but there are some die hard celebrity fans including Billy Crystal(Yanks), Bill Murray(Cubs), Ben Affleck (RedSox), Marvin Hamlich(Yanks), and the previously mentioned Spike Lee. There will always be people jumping on the bandwagon but the true fans swim and sink with their teams.

Well, we know it's not because they're rooting for a winner, otherwise they'd be sporting the Spurs, Red Sox or Patriots gear...
Though it appears the Red Sox are growing in "status" as far as celebrities being spotted with Red Sox caps.
But why can't the men of Belichick and Brady get any love? Three Super Bowls! The quarterback is dating a movie actress...its probably the ugly "Flying Elvis" logo...
