Yet more Dakota Fannning
Filed under: Animation, Casting, Family Films, Tom Cruise
Because every other eleven year old girl in Hollywood is, apparently, completely uncastable, potential extraterrestial Dakota Fanning has been hired to do voice work on Henry Selick's Coraline. Based on the Neil Gaiman novel of the same name, Coraline tracks a young girl's adventures in a parallel reality. The fake world resembles a really great version her real world – really great, that is, until her fake parents try to keep her from returning to her real ones. Selick, of course, directed The Nightmare Before Christmas and James and the Giant Peach; Fanning has been in every movie released this year.More on Dakota Fanning:

Actually, there are a few she HASN'T starred in, including the role of Jodie Foster's daughter in "Flightplan". Though, after watching the lame and lifeless performance given by the child actress who did play the part, I wish she had.
