I just think it's amazing that the author (who's 19 now?) started writing Eragon when he was 15. I haven't read the book, but from what I can tell it's got a huge fanbase.

Actually, Christopher is 21 now. The books are great, and I'd highly recommend reading them. Yeah, I think it's safe to say there's a pretty big fan base. :)

While we had to take our video down, we still have close to 200 set pictures available, as well as the recent promotional Eragon poster released by Fox (included the map in your picture, the complete cast-in-costume poster, and more).

Hopefully our loss will be rewarded with something better in the near future!

I'm about half way through the book. I picked it up a couple weeks ago knowing nothing about it but that there was a dragon on the cover....

I've found the story really imaginative and interesting - though some of the plot points and conversations so far have been rather predictable. The world the author is creating has great depth and quite a lot of history to tap into. Good base for many stories to come if he continues with the writing success. Though at first I thought I was turned off by some of the more heavy handed conversations, I kept thinking about the story and am eager to finish - my guilty pleasure. I'm glad to hear about the authors age (which I learned of above, not from the writing style) - means the writing has a good chance of maturing.

I'd give the book a 3.5 stars for the moment, easily upgraded into four if the ending fulfills the promise of the rest of the book.

negative - often has too convenient plot/conversation connections
positive - very interesting world, with thorough history, clearly explained

I read the book given to by by my mother. I had the whole thing figured out after the first chapter. Reminded me of another mid-evil, young man on a quest novel I once read called "The Lord of the Rings". I mean come on, a nobody gets sent on a quest, with an old man, who dies, meets the world's greatest fighter/swordsman. Fights along side an elf and a troll/dwarf. Already been done. This is what- number four of these type of movies. First Harry Potter, then Lord of the Rings, then Narnia and now this. Someone tell me what the next big fad is going to be so I can start writting MY version of it to make a move about.
