Inside Woody Allen

From 1976 to 1984 – Woody Allen's most successful period as a filmmaker, in which he made Annie Hall, Manhattan, Purple Rose of Cairo and Stardust Memories – Stuart Hample drew a nationally syndicated comic strip based on Allen's neurotic persona. In 1978, selections from Inside Woody Allen were collected and released, with an introduction by Bucky Fuller, as Non-Being and Somethingness: Selections from the Comic Strip Inside Woody Allen, and Barnacle Press is hosting quite a few excerpts. There are a few more, higher-res examples here; I'm particulary fond of "Movie Star".

"Inside Woody Allen". That's just so wrong of a title for this blog posting. It may just be me, but I don't want to think about Woody Allen and a Belfast Breakfest in the same train of thought!
