I don’t know how I feel about this announcement. I am a long time Star Wars fan and generally enjoy laughing at the antics of wacky fan boys, but I’m not sure if I can stomach an entire movie full of it. If I had to codify my current feelings, I’d say I was “cautiously optimistic.” You?

You know, I think I've seen this film before. Back in 1992, it was called *Breaking the Rules* and it starred Annie Potts and Jason Bateman. So all this film does is re-imagine the original film and have the roadtrip/pilgrimage end at the mecca that is known as Skywalker Ranch.*
I guess it doesn't take much to sell a screenplay these days in Hollywood.
*Did the writers get the memo that most of the stuff at Skywalker Ranch was relocated to the Presidio in San Francisco?

This is an old script that has been kicking around Hollywood for nearly a decade now. The characters are trying to break in and watch
The Phantom Menace(!) before it's released- no joke. What's next, a film about trekkies dying for opening day Star Trek Nemesis? Oy.
