Ultimate Avengers Animated Film

If you’re interested in the animated films that Marvel is rolling out on DVD, you’ll be
pleased to know that some early images of Marvel’s Ultimate Avengers flick have hit the web: character designs of Nick
Fury and Black Widow are now here for your enjoyment. Steven Gordon, who designed many characters for the X-Men:
Evolution animated series, adapted the designs of comics artist Bryan Hitch for
animation. Gordon is also co-directing the film with Curt Geda. You can check

Wow, the Ultimate Nick Fury looks like Avery Brooks with an eye-patch. Wonder if he's getting any royalties.

Actually Nick Fury looks EXACTLY like Samual L. Jackson with an eyepatch in the Ultimates books. Including his facial expressions, speach patterns, etc. Of course, Jackson'd probably love to play Nick Fury in the voiceover so that'd work out.

You think? He didn't do the voice for Mace Windu in the Star Wars cartoons, if I recall correctly. And Jackson is pretty protective of that character.
Actually, it was surprising that none of the cast did the voices in the toon. I mean, couldn't Ian McDiarmid or Hayden use some extra cash?
