So Bob Saget Said to Some Penguins
Remember when Bob Saget used to host Funniest Home Videos and do those little voiceover bits while the clips were rolling? Remember how funny they were? Yeah, okay…so that second part is a lie. But hold on to your hats, because there’s more Saget styled narration coming your way. Variety is reporting that Bob Saget will write, direct and produce Farce of the Penguins, a send-up of the hit documentary March of the Penguins, for independent distributor THINKFilm. The product will combine wildlife photography with an irreverent and decidedly R-rated theme and soundtrack, and THINK is hoping for a spring release. According to Bob, the idea grew from a visit to a friend’s (as if Bob has friends) house. He and his friend were watching March of the Penguins together, and Bob kept doing little voiceovers for all the action; apparently he found himself funny enough that he thought he should do it for money.
Okay, so I understand that Bob Saget is actually rather
funny when not bound by the strictures of network television censors. And I think
farce, when done correctly, is among the most enjoyable comedic styles. Will
Bob pull off a convincingly funny farce? I don’t know. I’ve never heard him in
anything other than Full House and Videos, so my perception of his talent
is no doubt a bit skewed. I do think that the concept has a ton of potential,
though, and I really hope that Bob is talented enough to pull it off. Any Saget fans out there who can testify to his non-Danny Tanner funny?

He's a funny guy. And he works very, very blue. I missed The Aristocrats in theaters, but I hear he's got one of the better bits in it. My favorite story about him I heard from another comedian -- I forget who. This comedian went to visit Saget in the hospital after the birth of Saget's daughter. Apparently it was a very traumatic birth -- both his wife and his daughter very nearly didn't make it. After hours and hours of stress and worrying, Saget was finally holding his daughter for the first time, and this other comedian arrived and saw her and saw how happy and proud Saget was, and said, "She's beautiful."
Saget replied, "You can finger her for a dollar."

I didn't see The Aristocrats, but I've read a lot of good things about Saget being a sight funnier and dirtier when he can just run with whatever he wants.

I saw the Aristocrats, and he does in fact do one of the better and disgusting bits in the movie. He also directed the movie Dirty Work with Norm Macdonald. Saget really is funny, and like Nicholas said, very very blue. This has a chance to be a pretty funny movie if you ask me.

I saw him at a comedy club in LA around 2 years ago... And he's hilariously dirty. One of the jokes he did centered around how he wanted to have his way with the Olsen twins back when he was doing Full House, and damn, he was pretty twisted. In a good way, that is.

I loved *Dirty Work*. I might check this out, but I'd say Saget and that whole plot device is the weakest link on the show *How I Met Your Mother*. They really need to give more room to Neil Patrick Harris - aka "Barney" - on the show because he steals it every time. He's got the wit of Chandler from *Friends* yet is completely perverted. Which is a winning combo.
For anyone who can't picture Doogie Howsier in such a role, check out the unrated edition of *Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle*. That's some funny frakkin' shizzle. Definitely worth a NetFlix look.

I really didn't think Saget's segment in The Aristocrats was one of that film's highlights. I think people think it's hilarious because they know him only as the Full house guy, but if you're aware of his stand-up then you go into it expecting something way dirtier than that.

Hasn't anyone seen the stoner classic "Half Baked". Bob Saget has a small part in it. Dave Chappelle goes to a 12 step meetinng and he is talking about is addiction to weed. Bob is pissed off because all he is talking about it pot nothing more. So Bob stands up and says "Have you ever sucked D&*K for crack!!??" it was hilarious and completely out of no where. My friends dad also told me that before the show full house Bob used to do standup and did a lot of raunchy comedy. So when he played Danny Tanner on Full house no one could believe it.

BOB WOULD BE GREAT DOING VOICE OVERS AND I LOVED FUNNIEST VIDEOS AND FELT THAT IT WENT DOWN HILL AFTER HE LEFT. I DON'T FEEL THAT HE NEEDS TO RESORT TO VULGARITY TO BE GOOD. IT'S A SHAME TOO.

Bob Saget was the most annoying person on TV with FHM and Full House. I wanted him to die.

I've seen Saget's stand up twice, and he is NOTHING like the roles he played on Full House or AFHV. He was ACTING.
Saget is a dirty, dirty, funny funny man. I'd see his stand up more, but he's hard to find in one place. He's in one city one day, one state the next.
If he's voicing this movie, I'd stand in line to see it. It'll be worth it.
