Pierce Brosnan is not taking this whole Bond thing well
Filed under: RumorMonger, Celebrities and Controversy, James Bond
I almost can't even believe that I'm writing up *another* post about *another* profanity-laced little rant from Pierce Brosnan. I mean, isn't it rather incredible that he continues to act like such a little bitch? This time, he's dropping F-bombs all over the place by way of explaining why he thought making The Matador was such a good idea (from the version I saw, it wasn't, but I heard whispers the other night that the film's six week delay may be a sign that there's tweaking afoot). The asterisks are courtesy of Contact Music: "When
the f**kers try and hem you in with Bond, it's great to come back with
The Matador," Brosnan says. "It's great to say, 'F**k you, a**ehole. F**k you who
wouldn't give me a job ... F**k you who thought I was some wuss. F**k you, who thought I was a
pretty boy. F**k you, who thought anything of me without even knowing
me or giving me the chance." Watch out, f**kers – I've been riotously over-praised for a good performance in a resoundingly mediocre film, and I'm taking no prisoners!

What's incredible is that you keep getting your news from Contact Music.
The quotes are lifted and mangled a bit from a Playboy interview (you know where people curse and say naughty things) done last summer and just hitting the stands. I assume you do know how magazines work, right? I'm also assuming you know how Contact Music works and just don't care.
You seem to be missing the irony of your ranting yet again over the same topic, and ranting over his use of profanity by ranting that he's being a "little bitch".
The Matador has pulled in mostly great and very good reviews, most particularly for Brosnan's performance since it premiered at Sundance from Roger Ebert to Film Bitch to Jack Matthews to USA Today, Premiere & GQ. You might think it's wildly overpraised, but that just proves it's been widely praised and your critical opinion is in the minority.

What is incredible to me is that you are suppose to be unbias, yet you constantly put Pierce down. Let me tell you something, Pierce Brosnan was the best Bond they ever had, furthermore he saved the Bond franchise. He was booted with no reason and treated like crap. I'd be damn mad too.Actors are human and have feelings too, unlike yourself.
The matador will be a complete success, it may possibly win a much deserved reward.
Your constant name calling of Pierce shows me what an immature person you really are.
YOU are the minority....so why don't you go slam someone else for awhile, it appears to be the only thing you are good at.

incredible that your profanity and attacks on Pierce are all you seem to know how to do???
Pierce Brosnan has more supporters then you will ever know.
Get a life.

What a bunch of Garbage. I would rather read the article in Playboy. Which is were your piece of garbage originated. The Matador is a great movie! I got to see it at Sundance. By the way the date was pushed back because Brosnan is busy making another movie. What's your excuse for being a JERK?

I don't think Matador will do too well at the theater, just a guess. I still want to see it though.

You obviously can't be bothered to read the original interview in Playboy mag that Contact Music took and somewhat rehashed this from. It's called poor journalism in my book and reminds me of certain tabloids in the UK. You'd be miffed if it had happened in that way to you too and he's every right to feel hurt - his human after all.

I read the original story from Contactmusic and the many repeats thanks to Google News Alerts and it really makes me wonder if there are any honest news people out there anymore or if it's all for the sake of promoting gossip now. You would think that it really wouldn't be that tough to print the interviewer's question and the "Entire" celebrity answer, but I suppose giving your reader the wrong impression, instead of the whole truth, is the point, isn't it. While I don't usually approve of profanity, it WAS Playboy magazine and Pierce Brosnan DOES have a right, in my opinion, to be angry at the way he was treated. Next time however, do your own research and don't just repeat what a questionable news site has to say. I believe it's called ethics.

Pierce has known the Broccoli family for 25 years; you know holiday parties, vacation outings, and such. He felt these people his friends. They gladly supported his idea for making Casino Royale. Then in the middle of salary negotiations "his friends" fired him; without even having the decency to do so to his face. Any of us would be anry and hurt if a friend of ours did that to us. Pierce is human, just like the rest of us. He laughs, crys and bleeds, just like the rest of us. Sell your poison somewhere else, your jealousy of decent men like Pierce is pitifully obvious.
