Rome's mayor lends his voice to Chicken Little

Rome mayor Walter Veltroni was a respected
film critic in his pre-political life, and he remains a huge movie
buff. As a result Disney, doubtless pleased by their own cleverness,
asked Veltroni to play the vocal part of Turkey Lurkey - Mayor Turkey
Lurkey to you - in the Italian version of Chicken Little. According to
the mayor, dubbing his role took only an hour and a half (which makes
me think either he did a crappy job or Zach Braff was WAY overpaid for
his work on the film - possibly both are true), and he donated his
entire fee to a charity that works with kids with Down's syndrome. Aw!The movie opens in Italy on December 2; reports on Veltroni's performance are eagerly anticipated.
