Back in the summer, we told you about the title announcement for the third Pirates film, and speculated as to the meaning of said title. A fair amount of information regarding the plot for the third movie has now hit the web, and with it comes an unavoidable spattering of spoilers. While I am delighted that Geoffrey Rush is coming back (like Maximus will be in Gladiator 2), I'm a little disapointed that the new films seem to do be goin back to the same dark supernatural morbidity of the first one. Don't get me wrong, I thought the zombified pirates were great, and the whole Aztec curse angle was really neat, but we've done all that, and now I'm in the mood for some good old-fashioned swash and buckle, straight up, Captain Blood style.

I cannot agree more with you.
I would (((((((love))))))) to see Captain Blood remade and this could have been an excellent opportunity.
As good as Bloom was in Kingdom of Heaven, he could do Peter Blood now....
Looks like the only difference between the premise of the story is that in the sequel the crew will be decomposing instead of already skeletal remains......
As Barbossa would say "ARGH!!"

Yea, Captin Blood, awsome. And Orlando Bloom as Peter Blood, even better. And Johnny Depp in the same movie as Orlando Bloom, even more awsome. Yea, POTC3 yea!!!!!!
