Russell Crowe spotted laughing

Surly Aussie actor Russell Crowe, who's getting as well known for his temper tantrums and brawls as he is for his acting talent, was actually spotted smiling and laughing Saturday night while he was hosting the Australian Film industry awards, Down Under's equivalent of the Oscars.
Crowe walked onstage carrying a telephone, and joked about throwing a telephone at a New York hotel employee, an incident that could have prevented him from working in the United States and sent him to prison for up to seven years. Crowe warned nominees not to get too long-winded, with a threatening wave of the phone. "If...you do get up here and go on too long," Crowe joked (kind of), "then 'hello' to my little friend."

I love and respect Russell Crowe's great acting talent, and the contributions he has made to the film industry. Mr. Crowe's off-screen, out-of-control antics, however, tarnish the positive image he has worked so hard for. Hopefully, this extremely talented actor will seek help for his drinking/temper/fighting addictions, and realise he is hurting himself and those who love him. May I be so bold as to suggest Zen meditation for self-decipline/self-knowledge? We are all so human, and it is our human attributes that make us great, but seeking one's true nature by looking within will manifest a calm awakening that will nurture one's creative talents as well as one's daily life condition. I look forward to viewing Mr. Crowe in more great films, and wish him happiness in his professional and personal life.

The man is a menace. Too many obscenities made it hard to watch with children. He's way too blue-collar to do a show like that. And a satin suit? What was he thinking?! The man has zero taste in clothing.
