Avril Lavigne turns actress

MTV reports that edgy pop-rocker Avril Lavigne has scored a role alongside Richard Gere in the crime thriller The Flock. No word yet on who she'll be playing, but the 21-year old is currently in New Mexico shooting a bunch of scenes. Can I get a "hell yeah!" to that? Okay, kidding.
The Flock tells the story of a hyper-vigilant (don't you love them character descriptions?) federal agent who, while training his replacement, is forced to go track down a missing girl. Oohh, could that same missing girl also be gearing up to record her third album? Though this will mark her first time on screen, Avril will also be lending her voice to the upcoming animated feature Over the Hedge, in which she'll play a possum who's on-screen dad will be voiced by Bruce Willis.

She is very annoying, she should not be in films unless they are snuff films.

Coooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool. Avril will surely kick asses through her acting career. She is a mutitalented Singer. Have you seen her acting in her video "Nobodys' Home"? She is rocking in this video. But the best thing about her career is that she is starting her career from small roles. She will know what sort of response critics will give her which will help in bigger future projects.
