Adam Sandler lands starring role as "Dad"

Funnyman Adam Sandler is soon to star in the biggest role of his life: "Daddy". The comedian and his wife are expecting their first child in the spring, according to a story posted on People magazine's website earlier this week. Nice to hear Sandler is getting some good news in his life; his beloved bulldog, Meatball, who was a member of the wedding party in 2003, died last year.
Sandler one of those Hollywood people I can't imagine having as a father. Probably he'd be a really fun dad, but I just can't picture having him as my dad. Other celebs I can't imagine having as my father: Rod Stewart, Mick Jagger, Paul "Pee-Wee Herman" Reubens, Robin Williams (too hyper), Robert DeNiro (too intense) and Tom Cruise (too freaky). What celebs would you not want as a dad? And which would you like to have as a dad (I was always partial to Mr. Rogers, myself...)

Mr. Rogers is way too creepy to be my dad. I'd be scared I'd find him staring at me in the middle of the night while I slept.
I'd go with any dad that makes 30 million per film. Yep, sounds about right.

I want Nick and Nora Charles to be my parents - that's much more practical than my previous plan to marry them both. Do they count as celebs?

I wouldn't want Christopher Walken as a dad. Although It might be worth it because the story of him telling me the most mundane thing would be funny. 'BRIAN...YOU need to... GET... a JOB'

Martha, you are a genius. Although I doubt they would be as cool with a baby. Or did they have a baby? I never got very far in the series.
I'd pick Gregory Peck for my dad and after reading the new Interview, I think I like Reese Witherspoon for a mom. which is good since I don't find her at all attractive.

I think Adam Sandler will make a great dad. I think Brad Pitt will not. He is only putting on a show for the public and to get to Angelina Jolie. They both sicken me. why doesn't she adopt or help thousands of orphaned children here in the US. She is a US citizen isn't she?
