Mel Gibson has been touched by claims of anti-Semitism more than once; many felt that
The Passion of the Christ unfairly represented Jews as bloodthirsty in their killing of Christ, and Gibson's father, an ultraconservative Catholic, has expressed skepticism over whether or not the Holocaust actually happened. In what may be in part an attempt to run damage control on that aspect of his legacy, Gibson has confirmed that one of his many upcoming TV projects includes a romantic miniseries about Flory A Van Beek, a Jew whose non-Jewish boyfriend helped her hide from the Nazis. The project is said to be in the very early stages – it couldn't possibly premiere until next season – but ABC TV movie VP is already rushing to divorce the project from any controversy that could arrise from Gibson's own political reputation. "I would tell [critics] to
shut up and wait to see the movie, and then judge," Quinn Taylor says. "I'm not about to rewrite history. I'm going
to explore an amazing love story that we can all learn from and,
hopefully, be inspired by."

Only the very simple minded or the ones motivated by political mischief will call "The Passion of christ" anti-semitic. A high school education of the time will show you the barbaric nature of both the Romans and the Jews. An educated person will hold such claims in contempt.
The same applies to anyone who denies the holocaust. I was 17 in 1947 and I saw hours of raw footage of the camps. The film was taken by the US Army when they liberated the camps.
I was a freshman in college at the time and I did a term paper on the camps. The nine camps in Poland killed 11 million people; 6 million jews and 5 million from every walk of like in Europe.
The non-jews were everything Luthern Pastors to mental patients. They even emptied prisons to save money.
Hitler wanted to rid Europe of everyone he considered inferior.
I think the ones who protest "The Passion of Christ" or deny the Holocaust are not stupid, they are liars who subvet the truth.
