Casting Call For Potter's Lovegood
Filed under: Action, Sci-Fi & Fantasy, Casting, Warner Brothers, Fandom, Remakes and Sequels
With the full theatrical run of the last Harry Potter
movie winding down to a close, its about time we move on to starting some wild rumors for the next film in the
franchise, eh? Warner Brothers is paving the way for the rumor mill to gear up, as they send out a casting call for the
role of Luna Lovegood in the upcoming fifth Harry Potter movie, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. According to the call,
they are looking for girls between the ages of 13 and 16 who live in the UK or Ireland- no experience necessary.
Applicants are asked to apply in person on Jan. 14 at the Central Hall, Westminster Storey's Gate, Westminster, London.
They will open the line (or "queue") at 10 am and close it at 2 pm. Proof of residency will be required, and
no makeup or costuming is to be worn. Production of the new Potter is expected to begin this month.
You can start placing your bets...now. My money goes on an unknown- alot of the children cast for Potter were previously unknown, and avoiding an already established actor should save the studio from adding too much to its ever ballooning cast price tag.
