Possible early look at X3
Filed under: Action, Drama, RumorMonger, Brett Ratner, Comic/Superhero/Geek, Remakes and Sequels
First of all, be warned that there are
major, major spoilers in the link below: a tipster to AICN claims to have seen a rough cut of X-Men
3, and he lays it all out in painstaking detail. Second, I'm not in a position to know if the guy actually saw
the movie or not; you'll have to decide for yourselves when you read his report how plausible it is.Now, warnings aside, if the report really is based on a screening, fans of the series and the comic might be profoundly disappointed when the film is finally released. Among other flaws, X3 reportedly has very little thematic connection to the first two films in the series, and some character traits and appearances even undergo transformations. While the plot is way too murky to possibly summarize here, the tipster has these two warnings: "FORGET WHATEVER you remember about [X-Men] and X2" and "...THIS IS STORM's movie, she is the main focus of this movie and is in about every shot." Scared yet?
In possibly better news, the report also includes a trio of pretty cool pictures of Famke Janssen as Phoenix. So, even if the movie sucks, at least she'll be badass.

hey guys i've been reading a bunch on x-3 the first 2 were good but lacking in action. This one seems to have more going on in it which is good. However, i agree on the storm thing halle wasn't the best storm choice they should have gotten iman grace jones or angela basset storm is too fem in these movies she doesn't do it for me. Overall the movie will be awesome it's rare that any movies live up to our x-pectations

Man, WHAT a disappointment. It sounds like total shit. I'm not even going to waste my time renting the DVD of this one.

I knew that trailer was too good to be true. ANYTHING is compelling if you overlay a stirring Patrick Stewart monologue on it! It makes me wonder why they chose Ratner of all people for this film. He hasn't shown any skill in handling such a large mythos, I think they just threw their hands up in despair and declared this one a money-maker without eye for quality.

Your freaken jokeing me, Its going to be a Storm movie.
Well screw that I'm not going to waste my time or money on a "Halle Berry" movie. She is going to destroy X-Men just like she did with Catwoman. God this is going to suck.

I wouldn't jump to soon. I read the report and frankly it seems kinda fishy. I mean it seems like a HUGE departure from the 2 previous movies. I think we just need to wait and see before crying wolf.

All the links seem to be dead, anyone know where I can still find this?
And for the record: Halle didn't ruin Catwoman, Catwoman ruined Halle.

Well it wouldn't surprise me. They caved to halle berrys ego to get her back on board for the movie. Ah well at least the trailer looked cool :(
