First pics of Del Toro as Che!

Remember how we reported that, though Steven
Soderbergh's Che isn't officially set to begin filming
until months (and months, and months) from now, he was going to do a bit of shooting at the UN in early 2006? Well,
despite the fact that the screenplay is far from completed, they're here - and so are the photographers. And, as a
result, Just Jared has our first collection of photographs of Benicio Del
Toro in costume as the film's title character. What do you think? Apart from begin a little porkier than I thought Guevara was in 1964 (the year he visited the UN), del Toro looks incredible - in the picture I've included with this post, the resemblance is almost scary.

BDT has such an uncanny resemblance to Che. Good to see he's getting some filming done...it's been too long between projects!

i thought he looked "porkier" too but i think it's just because of the costume especially that coat, in pics with the shirt only(not at JJ) he looks alot thinner.

I will be in the theater when the movie comes out. Benecio Del Toro made a BIG impression on me in his first films... There is just something about him................ hmmmmmmmmmmmm..........
