Sundance Interview: Thin
Filed under: Documentary, Sundance, Podcasts, Interviews

With the Awards Ceremony coming up fast and furious tomorrow night, Lauren Greenfield's Thin seems like a shoo-in to pick up a prize. Word on the street regarding the harrowing eating disorder doc is resoundingly positive, and our own James Rocchi called Thin "an amazing portrait of strength, of compassion, of community, of love." Rocchi sat down with Greenfield this week to discuss the challenges inherent in making a film about such a difficult subject. You can download the interview here, or from the Cinematical podcast feed at the iTunes Music Store.

This was a great little movie. One of the few docus I saw at Sundance that I would recommend. I hope it gets distribution but I'm not holding my breath.

Saw Thin at Sundance - Of the 5 films I saw, this was the best as well as the one I keep thinking about. It should appear on HBO in fall of '06.
