Potter casting news!

Did any of you even notice that the big screen version of Harry Potter and the Order of the
Phoenix starts shooting, like, next month? Are you as excited as I am? Are you doing cartwheels in your living room
right now? At this exact moment? Did you break anything? Well, you better move some furniture because we've got some
juicy casting news for the film.
According to CBBC Newsround, George Harris has been cast as Kingsley Shacklebolt, a Dark Wizard catcher who works for the Ministry of Magic. The character is also a member of the Order of the Phoenix, a group put in place to battle the evil Lord Voldemort. Harris has been around for awhile now, but hasn't exactly blown up on the radar even though he's landed parts in films like Raiders of the Lost Ark and Black Hawk Down.
Also cast for Phoenix is newbie Robbie Jarvis (So new I'm not even sure of his IMDB credit, if he even has one) as a young James Potter. Apparently, he's a stage actor who has performed a bunch of roles with the East Side Theater Company. The teenage actor will take on the part of Papa Potter and shows up in the book after Harry enters Potion Master Professor Snape's (long name if you ask me) memory. I apologize ahead of time if I don't seem like a Harry Potter expert here, but I - cough - never read the book. Kill me now!

I only hope that the book plots will come together with the movie versions by the end. All the the sub-plots are pealed away for the sake of feature length. If the whole anthology doesn't make sense for the non-reader, why bother? I think the actors are chosen well and the "children" have difinitely grown into their roles. I don't think Dumbledore is really dead, it's a plot to lure Voldamort, remember he can't hurt Harry as long as Dumbledore is around. Plus, you've got that whole Phoenix thing going on, born from ashes.

People can write about Harry Potter all they want. Just because they have some snotty kid who can't spell thinks they're God because they've read all the books. I have too, but I don't think I'm above people who have only seen the movies, or not read all the books. Get a life and enjoy the movie rather than yelling at someone who simply blogged to enlighten others. Thank you.

In all fairness to #2, I edited in the word catcher after I realized I had made a boo boo and called him a Dark Wizard earlier.

To make a different comment, sans sniping, I always thought Kingsley was fairly young, like appearing to be in his thirties or so. This actor seems around 10-20 years older than that.

Wow. You people have no lives. Fighting over Harry Potter. We have people fighting for us overseas, show some patriotism instead of fighting over Harry Potter on a website.

I have to say, that I am so ashamed of the people who have posted comments on this article. While the author may have gotten some of the facts wrong, at least he knows how to spell. What is wrong with America, that our citizens cannot even spell write not (rite)and definitly not *deffinately. Come on people.

Seems the cinematic crowd is taking creative license with the character..Kingsely Shacklebolt is a person of color in the book.
