Stan Lee in Spidey 3
Filed under: Action, Casting, Fandom, Comic/Superhero/Geek, Remakes and Sequels
Continuing in his trend of appearing in modern Marvel films, Stan Lee
has acknowledged that he will be seen in a brief cameo role in the upcoming installment of the Spider-Man film franchise. Lee, of course, is one of the main men
behind the creation of Marvel comics - of course, if you don't know that, then I'm not even sure why you are reading
this article. Stan is quite the busy man these days, what with his upcoming Who Wants to be a Superhero
project, but True Believers can rest assured in knowing that his persona will grace both of the major Marvel sequels
currently in production.
I think it is fun that Stan continues to pop up in these movies. Regardless of the man's relationship with Marvel these days (and I'm not sure anyone really knows exactly where that stands), Stan Lee is a living legend in the industry; and without him we would not have many of the most beloved super heroes of the past several decades.
In another small Spider-side note, you can dig the filming locations of the new film here, if you are interested in that sort of thing.

I personally would like to see Spidey battle the Green Goblin again. In the comic book series, Norman Osborn (the first Green Goblin) was killed. But, his son, Harry Osborn played the second Green Goblin and I feel this would make a great villian to battle again, in a different format this time.

I have followed comics since it was Marvel Comics vs D.C. Comics for supremacy and I felt marvel was much better, anyway, I would love to see a movie where Spiderman would team up with say The Fantastic Four. Just imagine what the lines at the box office would look like, in fact it could be filmed as a trilogy, just like Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, the Plot would not be too obvious, the story line can have a cliff hanging endings. Call me if this sounds good Stan Lee, I have a few good ideas....

I loved the first two spider-man movies. And the way the second one ended left room for the second Goblin, Venom, and the Lizard. I'm personally hoping for the latter two, although I'm pretty sure they'll use the Goblin. Either way, I really, really hope they don't stop at only three movies. If Batman can have five movies, I don't see why Spider-man, who is cooler in my opinion, can't.

It's great seeing Stan make Cameo appearances in the Marvel movies. I met him in person during a signing and he's wonderful person! And very enthusiastic about whatever project he's doing at the time.

The Spider-Man Movies are such a waste of film. Crap stories and crap acting. The should've stopped at number 1. If I wanted all the CGI junk I would just sit at home and play video games. Danny Elfman was smart for pulling out after the first one.

The people at Marvel Comics are Geniuses. They have opened the door for a HUGE number of awesome movies. There are storylines all through the comics of team ups between the characters ie. Spiderman and Daredevil, Spidey and the X-MEN, The Hulk, plus loads more. And team ups of the bad guys too. Marvel, if you're listening...RUN WITH THIS! Your movies are great, and millions will see them all!

topher grace from "that 70's show" will be portraying VENOM/EDDIE BROCK, thomas hayden church who played LOWELL on the tv show WINGS, as well as starred in the movie SIDEWAYS is also on board playing THE SANDMAN... james franco is also back as harry osborn, but i believe he will be HOBGOBLIN and not GREEN GOBLIN as harry ended up as in the comics version. also, kirsten dunst will b back as mary jane, but there are rumours that peter's first girlfriend.. GWEN STACY, will be in the film tho i am not sure who will play her.

I thought Spider Man was great. It left the door open to continue the series. Spider Man 2 was ok didn't like the fact that his idenity was revealed on the train. Hope 3 is good otherwise there will be no need for more. Most movies get worse as they try to continue the series (batman) hope they don't do the same with this one

This, which for me is a new column, has been great. I don't think is a good idea to make another Spidey movie with the Gobblin. It would be too tedious while SpiderMan featured better foes and characters, like the Lizzard, Rhino, Morbious, The Vulture, and as for the Fantastic 4, the movie was a flop because that actor as Mr. Fantastic did´t cut it. Mr. Fantastic in the comic books was a dignified looking older man, not a young punk.

Batman is cooler than Spiderman, and could beat him at anything. I hated Batman Begins, that was a waste of life in itself. As for Spiderman, he should face two villians at a time, but more importantly, should aquire more powers than ever before to help him.

Batman Begins was the best of all the Batman films put together, and shows what movies based on comics can be when you have a good script, good actors, and a director that really likes and knows the source material. Spiderman has benefited from this too. I don't mind sequels if they are good. And no, there should not be two and three villains per movie. That crap didn't work in Batman, and it won't work in Spiderman, unless you can come up with a truly legitmate reason for the two to team up (Which the BM movies never did) You certainly don't want to go through Spidey's A-list of baddies in a couple of movies. When you do that, you end up short-changing good characterization and story potential. Just look at what happened to Bane, who should have had a movie to himself. Also look at the characterization of Sabertooth in the X-men movie, who clearly deserved better.

I think that they're are some key villians that need to be played around with
Scorpion
King Pin
Venom
Carnage
Lizard
Mysterio
Green Goblin should become Hobgoblin
Prolly not all in this Spidey film
Another Key person that hasn't been introduced yet is Black Cat, who plays a big role throughout the series

ummm....Batman begins had 2 villians...correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't it scarecrow and ras al ghoul....?
Has nothing to do with how many villians...has everything to do with the plot and story arc. Without a good story/plot....you can have 1 or 12 villians and a movie will still suck. A comic book movie is only an extension of the comic book. Comic books die off when there are no good plot lines....which is why Marvel consistantly kicks dc's butt every month....

I grew up reading comic books. I think that they should consider pitting Batman against The Blockbuster. Remember him? Huge, kind of DCs version of the Kingpin. But he was huge and it was a fist fight until the end. Other ideas include bringing back the Avengers and pitting them against the Justice League of America; pitting Hulk and Thor against each other once again (classic battles every time); update Nick Fury (Hasselhoff's verion was fuuuuuuuucked up!) and have him and SHIELD take off after Hulk. There! Some ideas for your perusal

I think that both spidey movies were great and I think it should have Black Cat in the movie because she plays a huge role in the comics and Rhino and a classic battle by Harry Osborn turned Hobgoblin and the movie should also include The lizard and the King pin and Sandman. You should sleep on some of these ideas Stan Lee... Also E-mail me if you want to discuss these ideas!
