Howard is Rick James, bitch! Maybe.

I feel like I post every other day about a
new movie for Terrence Howard, and this morning comes the news of not
one, but two more possible lead roles. Both are biopics, but the roles are about as far as apart as they can get. The first part is that of 70s superstar turned creepy, violent, hostage-taking Superfreak Rick James, a role that would certainly give Howard the opportunity to show his ability to both sing and play a crazy person. The second role, meanwhile, is that of the much more dignified figure, boxing legend Joe Louis. Though Howard's status for both projects is described by the actor as "in talks," there is confirmation from another source about the Louis project - Spike Lee apparently is set to direct it, and he's personally endorsed Howard for the role.
Seriously, how is he going to do all of these movies? Does the man not plan on sleeping for the next five years or so?

I remember Terrence Howard from the UPN show "Sparks." I thought that show was so funny but I didn't expect him to grow so much as an actor. He has really proven to himself and others that he has what it takes to do any role.

I reall can see Howard playing Rick James, I believe that would be great for his career to bring Rick James back to life. He is similiar as far as characteristics goes and he is a diverse actor that I feel can handle and dominate the role. I encourage getting all the jobs that I can, sleep when you're dead. This is how he makes a living and make a name for himself. I say go for it!

Terrance Howard is a great actor. I have seen a few of his movies and every role he plays, he has always seemed to get into the role and act like it really is him in that situation. Great performances=great leads for bigger movies. I'm all for both movies!

Terrence Howard has been in several movies over the years. Like Sam Jackson it took so long for anyone to recgognize him. It stuns me that so many people didn't know who he was until "Crash".. That's so sad to me. He was brilliant in "Crash" and even better in "Hustle & Flow". He's on his way finally and I can't wait to see more of him in the years to come. Terrance Howards' time has come.

I have followed Terrence Howard since Dead Presidents...and he has shown his ablility to play reversed roles and NOT to stick to stereo typical African American roles....That is why I am soo proud of him because too many of African American actors get stuck in certain roles it makes my stomach turn!! Now when he gets casted a lead role for a Steven Spielburg Movie and or acting along with TOP Caucasian actors..then I can say he has made a difference in the WORLD and deserves special honors. Unfortunatly it could take a life time like Morgan Freeman. But Terrence Howard should still hang in there he is moving up fast!!!!

Terrence, is in the same neighborhood as the other great actors; Denzel, Samuel, Sidney, Morgan...just to name a few. He is an awesome actor. His role in The Best Man showed us his skills in a way that we never recognized before. Every movie from Lackawanna Blues to Hustle and Flow he has shown excellence. I applaud him in his success and can't wait to see him in whatever he decides to star in. He is definitely one of my favorite actors, hands down. Congrats and God Bless.

I think that Terrance Howard can play and role he puts his mind too. For example he stole the spotlight from Taye Diggs and Maurice Chestnut in "The Best Man". He is truly finally coming into his own. I feel he should have received this recognition long ago. Keep up the good work Terrance.

When my co-workers and I first saw this news, We thought Would Terrance be a good match for the part because of his Skin tone and just the person that Rick James as been noted as being "The SuperFreak". However, I believe that Terrance is a very good actor and will do a great job. If he can go from a quite, passive, good boy image from the Sparks show on UPN to bad guy, throw the brick and hid his hand in the "Best Man". He can do Rick James and any other characters for that matter. Keep up the good work Terrance.

I think Terrence Howard very talented at all acting roles that he pursue. I did not think I would like Hustle and Flow, and I actually loved it. The way he took on that role was so amazing, and Crash was a very good movie he was so amazing. Terrence is very handsome, and I wish him the very best at all he pursues. He will do well in all his upcoming roles, and will win many Oscars.
