Ford off Godspeed and on Indy 4

By the time this whole Indy 4 nonsense is all said and done, I think I'm
going to compile a list of all quotes spoken by Harrison Ford, George Lucas, Steven
Spielberg and Frank Marshall. Once I have them all laid out on
some industrial role of construction paper, I believe I will travel to a wide open field and burn them...while laughing
maniacally towards the moon and screaming, "Damn you Indiana Jones!"
Okay, now that I've exposed my troubled side, Harrison Ford recently spoke with Moviehole and divulged more information regarding some of his upcoming projects. First off, how about the stuff he's not working on? According to Ford, “Godspeed is gone, that was a space project with James Cameron." The ambitious sci-fi pic was to tell of an evil that invades a space station and threatens to kill everything. Next up for Ford was supposed to be Manhunt, a story about the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. Ford says, "That would seem to be next”. “[There’s] a bunch of other things that have come to fruition...recently." Hmm, sounds to me like someone is unofficially telling us that Indy 4 is heating up.
On another Indy note, Steven Spielberg finally went on record the other day by telling someone in Israel that he's "about to make Indiana Jones 4, which is, as far as I am concerned, the sweet dessert I could give those who had to chow down on the bitter herbs that I've used in Munich. There you have it - Indy 4 is officially still kind of officially happening soon...we think.

May it never come to pass. For the love of God, people, Ford is washed up. He'll be 64 in July. Let me repeat that: HE'LL BE 64 in July of 2006. SIXTY-FOUR. It's been 17 years since the last Jones film. Let it go!!!!! If they want to continue the franchise, then find a young-ish, rugged guy to play the part. Ford's time as Indy is done. It's outright embarassing how many people want to see this senior citizen play an action hero.
If they want the franchise, fine, get new talent in there. But let Ford go back to his ranch and hang around with the skeletal freak he calls a girlfriend. Don't make the old man play an action hero. It won't work. It'll just be sad...sad like how sorry Lethal Weapon 4 was. Old men fighting are not cool. They're not funny. They're just plain sad. Like Ford's current career.

What is taking this bird so long to get off the ground? Ford will be dead by the time they have this finished. They should just find a younger actor and do some sort of prequel story. I find it hard though to top find the holy grail or the ark of watchmacallit. I don't think we'll ever know.

81, 84, 89 and 2007?
Unless they are thinking of picking up Indy's story after retirement... like calling it "Indiana Jones - Life after Retirement".
1,2 and 3 were fun, and adrenaline really kicks into high gear in all the stunt-filled sequences. But if they try anything like that with this one, people, or atleast I will only be thinking about whether Indy will make it through without suffering a heart attack...
God help us.
