Oscar Coverage: Share Your Pithy Comments!
Filed under: Awards, Oscar Watch, Trophy Hysteric

At first, you think the show is overtime. But not so bad. And then you feel all is progressing well, and that all events are reasonable, and then the Academy presents a song perfromance that looks like looks like the Max Fischer Players production of The Road Warrior.
Have you had any favorite Oh-Good-Lord moments? If so, share below ... and enjoy.

Ah.. Jessica Alba, joining the hallowed hall of Oscar presenters with her acclaimed body of work, from Sin City to Fantastic Four to her risky turn doing the exact same thing in Blue Crush.

Yikes. Talk about going downhill...
- The set sucks. It looks claustrophobia-inducing small. It's just not impressive.
- John Stewart sucks as the host. Pay Billy whatever he wants to get him to do it again. His intros were always fantastic. Even Whoopi or Chris Rock would be tons better than Stewart. After his first few lines they were already looking for next year's host.
- The political spots were pretty funny - then again that was probably the first time I laughed all evening. Bad sign.
- What the hell is with that music in the background of the acceptance speeches? It completely dulls out what the winner is saying. I was trying to listen to Rachel Weisz's (Weisz' ?) speech and I just couldn't pay attention with that "motivational" music going on! And the camerawork for the speeches is equally as terrible. Slow zooms, close-ups - I guess they're trying to evoke something, I just don't know what it is. Stick to what works.
- John Stewart: "Welcome back to the show everybody!" This isn't the Daily Show, jackass.
- Where the hell do they get off using Jennifer Garner as an announcer? What the hell was that? I thought Ben Affleck had her ass on lockdown for being, ya know, a bad actress, though not as bad as him.
- Charlize Theron's dress sucks.
- Keira Knightly looks hot as all get-out.
- Who was that other chick sitting next to Jack Nicholson? Heh, not sure how old she is but she is _cute._
- Why don't they get George Clooney to host? He's always pretty darn funny.
- Props to Reese for winning for Best Actress. Keeping tabs on the making of Walk The Line it seems she worked really hard to get everything about the part of June down, including learning to sing. Though, I thought it would go to Felicity Huffman. Guess everyone got sick of seeing Desperate Housewives. Hehe.
Meh!

Reese deserves her award with such brilliant acting, CONGRATULATIONS Reese...
Both Heath & Jake deserved an award for capturing such sensative issues into brilliant acting...Congratulations guys, for allowing me to see another side of LOVE...
Crash...personally I feel this movie is too negative to be due an award, & over rated...as they acting was like all other dramatic acting, not special or unique to take first place...yet Congratulations anyway...
LOVE, LIVE LIFE & SMILE :)

Jaoquin Phoenix deserves an Oscar for his downright sinister, murderous (yet strangely poker-faced) facade as Philip Seymour Hoffman went for the gold.
Go Phil! Way to not bark, though...
