More on Wonder Woman

In a recent interview with Empire Online, Joss Whedon shelled out some more details about Wonder Woman...and I'm just so not excited about this film. Since,
according to Whedon, "[the script] is very awesome, but incredibly unfinished," we still don't have any
idea who he's going to cast in the role. Recent
rumors claim he may go the Brandon Routh route and cast an
unknown. Hey, as long as I can say, "Damn, that girl is Da Bomb," then that's all that counts, right?
As far as story goes, Whedon explains, "I can tell you that the film will be about introducing you to Wonder Woman. She'll be wearing the outfit and there will be the bracelets, the golden lasso and Greek gods. She comes from a civilization where she's rather perfect, so she's the opposite to Buffy in many ways, but she's going through an adolescent rite of passage because she's new to the world".
Hmm, seems like my imaginary ex-girlfriend who left me after realizing that I was not
the most amazing man on the face of the earth. Okay, so what if it was five minutes after she arrived on the
planet - the girl was a quick learner. Whedon also says that he's working hard on a Buffy movie for
Spike, and that he'll know soon whether or not that will actually happen.

This film is SO gonna flop despite Josh Whedon writing the script. I smell a stinker a mile away. Enough with the comic book film versions! The only decent one is the first Superman and all the rest SUCK!

"So she's the opposite to Buffy in many ways..." Especially in terms of audience interest level.

Hmm, I had no idea. I wonder who are they making this for? The kids who watched 25 years ago, who are now adults? I just don't really see this as being a big hit, but then again it's like 7 or 8 Marvel and DC comic movies lined up from the late 70's early 80's
I guess something was needed to counter CatWoman

I'm interested, I've been saying Wonder Woman should come out since Spidey returned. I grew up watching Linda Carter. I'll take Angelina Jolie as her replacement.

This movie will suck no matter what - not even nudity will save this stupidity.
Of course the Joss fanboys will drool over it but they are losers and insignificant to society...

I think it is a great idea, but please keep to the
Linda Carter look. Having a actress without brains and
well ya know... Actress with hair, eyes and can play
a hero like Jolie or some actress like that...

Try as I might, I'm not a Whedon fan. If he can write a straight script - with as little sarcasm as possible, and without ripping off other movies - maybe this will stand a chance. But who are we kidding? The success of this movie rests on who plays Wonder Woman. It doesn't really matter at that point how bad the script is.

Finally, someone is thinking like a champ. I have been saying that there should be a "Wonder Woman" movie for the longest. Only thing is,she would have to be a KICK-ASS version of the story.Someone who could fight and someone who is SEXY!!!!Think Scarlett Johanson or someone like that.

I've never seen anything as stupid as people predicting a film will flop before anything is even completed. Flopping as a concept?
You're like children saying that they don't want to eat something they refuse to even taste.

I would like to see Catherine Zeta-Jones play wonder Woman. I think she has the look, figure, and she can do action films. I think Jolie is so over done.

Well, the movie may be a stinker, but I nominate Brigitte Nielsen for the lead.....Angelina Jolie just isn't statuesque enough for the part and I can't think of any other tall leggy blondes (Pam Anderson is too short) for the part....if Brigitte would only ditch Flavor Flav as her soulmate.....

Although I am not a huge Xena the Warrior Princess fan, I think Lucy Lawless could do a good job as Wonder Woman. Linda Carter was kind of ..what's the word..robust?..thick? .. bigger boned? Muscular... that's what I am trying to say. Anyway, I hope Joss Whedon does a good job with this flick.

I suggest Charlize Theron!!!!!! She's tall, built and beautiful. All the things that Wonder Woman was/is. Please don't get a no-name actress! That usually spells disaster!!!!

How about an updated modern version of "The Terror of Tiny Town" with Brenda Lee, the singer, as WONDER WOMAN?

A gorgeous statuesque actress up for the role is Nadia Bjorlin.
Nadia has been on several primetime shows and appeared as Chloe Lane on Days of Our Lives.
Check her out and you'll see thst she's perfect should she accept the job.

I know who would be perfect in the role of Wonder Woman, she is tall, can fight, is a knockout, and has the figure to look great in the WW outfit. My choice, WWE Diva Stacy Keebler would be the best pick for the role.

What a bunch of pessimists out there! Whedon has done well with his none conventional formulas. The more people that doubt him, the more I think the new Wonder Woman film will be a success.
