Mo' Better Riddick?

Word on the street is that Vin Diesel is all worked up about making some sequels to his towering,
$110 million disaster, The
Chronicles of Riddick. In a rather endearing interview with Coming Soon, Diesel explains that
Riddick was always supposed to be a trilogy - a sort of Lord
of the Rings to Pitch
Black's Hobbit, if you will. "I wrote a storyline, essentially, that covered three pictures, so
where Riddick goes in the next two pictures is already mapped out. It's not in script form, but it is being all
developed, and it is going to surface when you least expect it." The problem, however, is that Universal still
holds the rights to the character and, since they still haven't made any money off of Riddick, it's awfully
unlikely that they're going to make a sequel - as we've learned, it's profit that makes studios blind to crap, not
outright stupidity. (As a general rule, at least. Stupidity had to have been at least partially responsible for Deuce
Bigalow: European Gigolo.) Essentially, then, when Diesel says "when you least expect it," he
probably means "never." Poor Vin.

Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo....the tittle in it's self to show you how stupid people are today it anger's me to see what this world has came to

The studio raped that film. I watched an alternate version (I don't remember what it was but I am positive it is available to the general public for viewing) of it that made much more sense compared to the crap released in theaters. Seems that the studio cut out relevant portions to shorten out and in doing so ruined the film completely. Vin should have maintained more control over the film and chances are he would not have let the idiots in the studio released the handicapped piece of shit that they did...

The version you are talking about is the Director's cut and I completely agree. The director's cut was what I first saw and loved the film. Why the studio cut out such relevant detail in the theatrical version is beyond me. Not a smart move. It was difficult to follow or understand without the needed parts. All to save 15 minutes. Go figure. I hope he does a sequel I can't wait! Someone in this same interview put the idea to buy the rights to Riddick in his head. I say "Go for it Vin!"
