Grind House gets new release date

Filed under: Horror, Fandom, Distribution, The Weinstein Co., DIY/Filmmaking, Quentin Tarantino, Robert Rodriguez

According to the Weinstein Company, the release date for Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez's Grindhouse is being pushed back from September 22nd to December 1st. While we're not sure whether or not this has to do with production delays or for other reasons, it does mean fans will have to wait that much longer for their Tarantiguez fix.

As Mark told us recently, Grindhouse (Yes, that will be the official name, contrary to reports that the film's title had been shortened to just Grind) will be split into two separate stories. Tarantino will be helming a straight up slasher flick called Death Proof, while Rodriguez is going the zombie route with Project Terror. Personally, I'm looking forward to the film just to see how many people rip it apart and why. While the two definitely borrow from a different time and place, it's their unique style that's had me going back for seconds...and thirds.
