Lohan Wants to be Wonder Woman ...
Filed under: RumorMonger, Fandom, DIY/Filmmaking, Joss Whedon, Comic/Superhero/Geek
... And I want to start writing letters to Joss Whedon immediately proclaiming that casting her will bring him a
world of pain. Go ahead, I know all of you closet Lindsay Lohan fans
are just dying to scream, "You're being very unfair Mr. Davis!" Right now you're searching the internet for
pictures of me to hang underneath that gigantic Freaky
Friday poster you hold so dearly, only to throw darts at my forehead and feel good about your aim even though
I'm balding ... at a highly alarming rate.
It's okay to feel that way. I deserve it. But I can't just sit here and pretend that Whedon's uphill battle with this project wouldn't end in a deadly fall should this girl land the leading role. Wow, it felt good to get that off my chest. Thanks.
Anyway, Lindsay Lohan was recently quoted as being very interested in the role of Wonder Woman. The 19-year-old actress, who can be seen in such films as the charming Herbie: Fully Loaded and the always delightful adaptation of Every Nightmare I've Ever Had has claimed that she'd like to find more roles to "Show that I have some sort of stretch in me." Could Wonder Woman be one of those roles? "Wonder Woman would be cool. I'm trying to find roles right now that are different to anything I've done to show my abilities ... because most of the things that I've done so far are aimed at younger girls and are light-hearted." You heard it here first folks: Lindsay Lohan hates younger girls. Joss, I hope you're paying attention.

Why is no one mentioning Estelle Getty for the role of Wonder Woman?!

Um there are sooo many better choices. Hell I was worried it would be Misha Barton, but damn. Lohan? You have to be kidding me. She wants to play wonder woman and I want to play the Flash. Its not going to happen.

Lindsey Lohan is many things, but she is no Amazon warrior. Sorry. If you want to give it to a younger actress, then take a gander at Natasha Lyonne. I think she would fit your bill.

A Wonderwoman film in itself is enough to fail but adding this idiot to the film seals the failure...

If Joss ever seriously considers Lohan as Wonder Woman, I would only have one thing to say to him:
"You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! The most famous is never get involved in a land war in Asia!"

This is an appropriate indicator of the utter pointlessness of this concept in the first place.

Wonder Woman has got to have the goods, and powerful ones at that. My choice -> Candice Michelle
She can destroy men (Godaddy) with just a glance!
Imagine the devastation in a skin tight WonderWoman outfit!

Sorry, but dis Lohan all you want to, but she's more qualified to take on the role of Wonder Woman than soap opera failure Brandon Routh is for suiting up as the-character-now-known-on-AICN as "Scrawnyman".
Perhaps Lohan should post pictures of herself on the internet dressed as Wonder Woman. That would work since apparently that was the measuring stick for giving the role of Kal El to Routh. At least from *Mean Girls* we known that Lohan CAN act.
Still, Monica Bellucci is the actress most qualified to portray Wonder Woman.
...just as Christopher *Doctor Who* Eccleston should portray The Joker in the sequel to *Batman Begins*...

Bellucci wouldn't exactly like wearing the Stars & Stripes, but that's the right direction to go. And imagine the CG bill for airbrushing Lohan's leathery skin anyway.
If Mila Kunis were taller maybe, or if Jennifer Connelly were more fun loving and still in her prime, then we'd be talking.

Morgan, I'm glad someone else online agrees with me that Bellucci is the way to go for Wonder Woman. At 40/41, she's still better looking (and what a bod!) than the majority of actresses in Hollywood. Heck, she gives quite a run for the money out of any of the women who are in that other "industry" located out in "The Valley". Of course, since Whedon is in control, we'll probably end up with an actress (and I said *actress* not some neutered version of the word *actor*) with a figure like Amy Acker's or Brandon Routh's for the role.
Shudders to self...
Bellucci looks like a Greco-Roman goddess...and has that figure that out-does Lynda Carter's from the 70s... Give me more actresses in her mold and save the Kate Moss wannabes for toothpick patrol.

How's about Demi Moore or someone who is a bit more of age to fit the role? I would've suggest Angeline Jolie but she's already played Lara Croft...Lindsey Lohan may be good in certain roles of movies but just because she may be the 'IT' celebrity of the moment, it doesn't necessarily mean she would fit the role. And if they're basing the casting on the popularity of the celebrity to roll in money then that's just dumb.

The only person who should play Wonder Woman is Angelina Jolie - and original WW Lynda Carter should play her mom!

Maybe the role of Wonder Woman should go to an actress who actually was born when the series first aired? Not to be discriminatory toward the younger actresses, but Wonder Woman was just that, a woman, not a girl pretending to be a woman.

Ya'll are some mean ass haters, Lindsay Lohan is a very young and aspiring actress, as well as an awesome singer, I feel that she is well suited if not the best suited for the role. I mean think about it, shes growing up, trying to shed her daddy's girl image, and step into her own, what better way to do that, than to do something that no one would ever expect her to do, and something that is actually a "stretch" for her. I commend her, and wish her only the best, and hope that she does get the role, and kickz ass, b/c i know she will.. Lindsay Lohan rockx sockx..

The character in question is named Wonder Woman so Lindsey, sorry but you are not a woman. When you are old enough to get a Doctorate (not sure of spelling there) degree from college try applying then. In the meantime how about Kate Beckinsale who has a fine body as the leather outfit showed in Underworld and can do the kind of fighting that Wonder Woman routinely got involved in. I am showing my age here as I used to watch the tv show when I was 7. If Lindsey really wants to be in the movie she can play Wonder Woman's little sister. Otherwise give the role to someone more suited.
