I think it's great that she's trying different roles. I also think that people are very jealous because she's smart enough to get away with playing the dumb blonde role.

Poor Jessica. She would be nowhere without her divorce from Nick Lachey. How stupid of her. Her father, Baptist Minister, no less, Ha! Ha! is calling all of the shots. Glad to know that he can read!!! She might be able to pull off a "leading lady" role in a Jackie Collins piece of fiction but please, no one else would want her to be part of their work. Im glad shes taking on different roles. Shes samrt and talented, i think shes gonna grow a lot. I find it funny how people judge her ona tv reality show. She was smart enough to play dumb blonde (which made her millions).

Everyone needs to just leave Jessica alone. Come on now, it not nice to make fun of the challenged. We all need to look at the many positive sides of Jessica. 1. Her looks 2. Her money 3....her looks...her money… Oh Alright, go for it. She would think that's 4 things anyways.

Whatever she does seems to turn to gold these days and who can argue with that. She would not be the first billionair with a low IQ so why worry about it. Anything you or other critics might say of a negative nature might simply be jealousy. The tough part will be seeing how she spends it. wisely I hope.

I hope she won't be playing Liberty. Liberty is of mixed race in the book, and that's a big part of her story. I could see her playing Amy who is a blond in the book and very innocent.

You can make fun of her all you want. She is the one laughing all the way to the bank. You go girl. She was making more money then Nick and he couldn't stand that his career was stalled, I think he was just jealous of her and it caused marital problems. I highly doubt she is as "dumb" as she seems. If you noticed her "stupid" or maybe not so stupid comments have got her commercials and even made her more money. I think she is alot smarter then people realize. I think anyone who speaks negatively of her is just jealous.

Oh please,just face it. This girl is THE Poster Girl for Mediocrity. CAKED ON make-up, LOUSY acting skills, TRASHY style, VOCALS that are virtually unintelligible...nothing but a store-bought smile that is unnaturally white and a GREAT publicist. She's not as dumb as some people appear to think. In fact, I think she must have "something" going on inside her head - as she sure knows how to make the money appear! And as for her father - there are certainly worse things a young woman could do than to listen to her father's advice. He's obviously a smart man too! He has two talented daughters and he has found ways for both of them to make money in a highly competitive market. Anyone who questions either of their intellect probably isn't so smart himself!
And for the love of everything holy - quit talking about her marriage! The last thing either her or Nick need right now is for people to be questioning why their marriage didn't work and putting their own spin on ideas behind their break-up! They are both talented artists and their marriage seems to be the only thing that has failed for either of them in a very long time! :-)

I think its great!!! Pretty smart on her part if you ask me. She's obviously smart enough to make herself more money. That's not dumb to me. Ya'll need to stop hatin and give the girl props for standing on her own two feet. Yeah, her dad may call the shots but, who in this world hasn't had thier parents help at one point or another???

So she's smart because she makes a lot of money? Sure, anyone can be smart with a team of people behind them telling them what to do, how to market themselves. In a culture of consumerism, you don't need to be smart to make money.

Well as #13 says that there are two talented simpson daughters......well I think you need to count again. There is 1 semi-talented daughter and who really cares if she purchased the rights to a trashy sex-love Jackie Collins book (don't think it should really be considered a novel). Who cares if she is dumb or smart. Someone is smart enough to be getting her all that money.

Jessica is not dumb and to make it in the business you ACT. You would have not watched the show had they walked around doing nothing in paticular. BORING!

So they spice it up and do a little BS. Reality TV folks.

She can read and is very intelligent. She is chosing her roles and yes her father is her Manager. Wouldn't you want your Father protecting your money? I'm sure you would. He loves his girls and he is acting in their best interest.

I've never in my life seen so many people jump on a bandwagon to put the girl down when all she is trying to do is live one day at a time without Nick whom SHE IS DIVORCING. He was shocked she filed. So he didn't kick her ass to the curb. He was cheating on her and she had enough of it. Follow the reports. Besides does it really matter. If you enjoy watching her sing or act in movies ...WATCH HER! IF not move on to someone you do like.

Society wants to do nothing more than dwell on the negative side of everything.

You want to put someone down...Put Brad and Angie baby. I mean she wrecks his marriage to Jennifer and is days away from having a baby and now they may or may not be on the rocks and headed to splitsville.
