Where the Hell is Michael Moore?

It's probably not too much of a stretch to suggest
that, at some point over the past five years, everyone on both ends of the political spectrum has fervently wished that
Michael Moore would PLEASE shut
up, if only for a few minutes. The problem, though, now that he has, is that his opponents have nothing to do, and just
might be forced out of business.Theoretically busy working on Sicko, his forthcoming expose of the health care industry, Moore seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth. Apart from signing the letter of protest that went out last week asking the Smithsonian Institution to reconsider its agreement with Showtime, the man has been uncharacteristically quiet -- according to Variety, the New York Times struck out recently when it tried to write a story about what Moore is up to, because they couldn't find him. Additionally, Sicko, initially scheduled for a September open, isn't listed on the Weinstein Company's current release calendar. Hmm. Wherever he is, the people at moorewatch.com are start to wish he'd start saying stuff they disagree with again, because with no Moore watching to be done, no one is visiting the site, and they're in danger of going under. I bet they never imaged they'd one day be wishing for (ready?) even more Moore.
Oh, and if anyone's seen him? Please let us know -- this is just getting weird.

They're not the only ones.

I think he went into a blue funk over the election, and his Oscar hopes for F9/11 bombing. Hope he recovers soon. It's getting pretty boring without him.

It's amusing that the people that run the anti-Michael Moore site have to close because of the high cost of health care, and that is also the theme of his next film. (That said, I hope their health issues get resolved)
Was Micahel Moore ever that in the public eye when he didn't have something to promote? I imagine he is - suprise, suprise - working on his new movie. Documentaries don't film themselves, you know. It's probably better for him to stay under the radar while making the movie, also... so he can get better, more "real" footage. Hard to do an expose when you have TV crews following YOU around, after all.

Wherever Mr. Moore is hiding, i'm sure he'll be back in the public eye and pissing people off in no time. I can't wait to see Sicko...love him or hate him, he definitely makes interesting, thought-proviking flicks.

Who the hell cares about him.... He is a self righteous pompous windbag. He is more interested in making a political statement than to do what is right.

I'd actually read what is going on there before you make a stupid claim such as that. Because that is not at all what is going on there.

Micheal Moore's job is finished here. He did what he does best, got the ball rolling. There's nothing left for Moore to do besides sit back and watch Bush implode. At this point using Michael Moore on Dubya would be like using an 18 wheeler to move one box when all you need is a Ford Focus. Moore is on to his next project, an expose of Big Pharma, and after he releases that I'm sure he will sit back and watch it implode too.

Ah, yes, the "hometown": Mine, that is. Not his. His real hometown, Davison, may be just 25 miles from Flint, but is lightyears away culturally. Hint: Davison is still 95% white

It always amuses me at the reaction every time Michael Moore's name is raised. Those that can't stand the fact that he tells the truth, bald as it may be, have the same knee-jerk reaction. They begin to call him names, pick on his weight, call him a moron.
It just cracks me up. I don't happen to like his personality much either, but boy, can he make a fact-worthy film!

The vast majority of people who bash Michael Moore have never even seen one of his films;
Fox and others just made it fashionable.
