Rocky Balboa Footage

Okay, so maybe it's not a film that's on your "Holy crap, I can't wait to see this" list. Maybe you feel Sly Stallone should have ended his Rocky saga long ago. Maybe, like me, you're interested, but not sold. Regardless of the way you feel about Rocky Balboa, the first footage from the film has hit the net and, while short, manages to pack the kind of punch I believe Stallone set out to accomplish.
The scene itself is a slow-motion shot of Rocky heading through the tunnel, gearing up for what appears to be his final fight against the heavyweight champ, Mason "The Line" Dixon. Walking alongside the champ are his son and everyone's favorite drunk, Uncle Pauly. As some smooth music blares, Rocky looks tired. He's spent. He's afraid. This fight is a mistake and he knows it. Sure, it's a tiny scene and I'm reading into it a bit much, but it definitely serves a purpose. I want to see this film. I believe there's a story there. I hope Stallone pulls it off.

Um sorry but that was kinda weak. Reminds me very much of a wedding video...esp with the slow mo and cheesy blue tint. If Sly over face-acted any harder you'd need to call the cops and report a mugging(for the camera).

Why can't anyone just have the balls to admit it!
You will see this film and like the original be floored by it. Stop spinning off about how apparently 'uncool' it is against your film taste film-making ethics and that Stallone is flogging a dead horse.
Look, Stallone was put on this earth for one cinematic creation and Rocky is it. Just swallow your pride and appreciate the tenacity of the man to rise, once against the odds and who can also laugh at his own previous follies (aka Stop! Or Mom Will Shoot, Rhinestone etc....)
Rocky Balboa will kick some so called "critics" faces in. See everyone there!

And another thing - It's on about a million people's "Holy crap, I can't wait to see this list!" as you so eloquently put it.

With all of the junk coming out of hollywood these days (Brokeback Mtn, MI 3), you gotta believe that every red-blooded man in the world will be standing in line for Rocky 6 or Rocky 60 for that matter!

It's definently on my "Holy crap, I can't wait to see this!" list. My favorite part about it is, Stallone is tackling all the issues head-on (like age, even stupidity as some may say) this leaves no insults or arguements from any of our beloved crticts. Much like in the movie "8 mile", in the final rap battle scene where Emenem mentions all the things that the other guy could have said. Leaving his opponent speachless...

Hell yeah I'll be there on Dec. 22nd in Full Force with just about everybody I know. The only film of the entire series that didn't make jump out of my seat and start punching the person next to me was part 5. I think Sly is gonna kick our asses and make Rocky go out as one of the All-Time greatest movie series ever!!!
The film clip is AWESOME... the old school quartet song, the only 2 people he has left in his life... Pauly and his son at his side... with that I have to say... "Get up you son of a bitch.. 'Cause Mickey loves you!!!"

Rocky has been crap since part one. The fight scenes are unrealistic to the and all the non-boxing scenes are melodramatic enough to induce vomiting.

'ROCKY BALBOA' will rule! Rocky has always been about heart and spirit, not just a boxer. Thats what makes these films so special. Anythings posible. Because someones old dosent mean anything. The meaning behind every Rocky film and I think especially this one, is strength, courage and loss. Having nothing left to lose and taking a shot at whatever moves you. hey, why not? This movies gonna rock...can't wait!

I totally disagree about Adrian dying! I think her character is bigger then Rocky! And killing her off is a mistake. Whose gonna be there to assure Rocky and give him strength? Can't believe their doing that!

The whole Rocky series revolves around family. And giving strength and assurances to loved ones, and killing off the character of Adrian is a mistake! Can't believe they did that! Won't be the same without her. Her character is almost as big as Rocky's. She's his inspiration! Not gonna feel right. But i'm still gonna see it.
