Vin's a Player

Look out, America: it's Vin Diesel time! Remember Erik's post about Black Water Transit earlier today, in which he mentioned that the man is set to star in roughly 400 films over the 18 months or so? Well, now it's 401: Variety reported this morning that Diesel (who, like Joss Whedon and Terrence Howard, is clearly giving up on sleep in order to expand his resume as quickly as possible) will star in Player's Rules, a pitch that Touchstone Pictures has grabbed expressly for him. And it's not an action flick, or even a drama -- ladies, steel yourselves, because Vin is about to get romantic. Aw yeah! Variety's details on the project are frustratingly slim, but the movie is described as a romantic comedy that offers a "unique take in the ongoing war between men and women." The screenplay is being written by Ron Bass and Jen Smolka, which might be a good sign for the project. While Bass writes a lot and has hit pretty much every genre over the years, having penned such hits as My Best Friend's Wedding, Waiting to Exhale, and How Stella Got Her Groove Back, the man knows his romance and comedy. (Plus, as a special bonus, he also wrote Rain Man and therefore is well-equipped to throw a severely autistic character into the mix, should the need arise.)

Anything that Vin is in, I am there. I can remember falling for him the first time I saw Pitch Black. My husband kept telling me to wipe the drool off my face. Now a romatic Vin may almost be too much to handle. I better leave the hubby at home;)

I think that Vin Diesel can play any role because he is a very talented actor that is not given enough credit for the roles he does play. He is by far my favorite actor and I have loved him in every single movie he has played in. Very few actors/actresses have played such various roles as he has, but people do not see this. They just see how muscular his body is and that women lust after him, including myself! The fact he has so many movies in the works explains something about his talents! As for him being in a romantic movie, where can I volunteer to sign up to be played lol, he is after all, a total hottie!

I think it doesn't really matter who wrote it or even if it's good. If Vin Diesel was in Gigli instead of Ben Affleck, it would've been a hit. The man looks so good that every woman will go see it.
