Review Roundup: The Break-Up
Filed under: Comedy, Drama, Romance, New Releases, Review Roundup

Ok, last week I understood why there was only one movie going into wide release. After all, what studio would be stupid enough to risk throwing a major property into the opening weekend of X-Men: The Last Stand? This week, though, I don't get it. Hello people, it's The Break-Up! Sure, it might be good (few think it actually is), but really -- since when is Jennifer Aniston a reason to flee?
- The Break-Up: If you really want this movie to be good, read James' review first -- because he's pretty much the only one who really likes it (the other critics are hacks). Many of his fellow writers find the movie neither particularly funny, nor very appealing; several are troubled by the fact that you never really see Jen and Vince happy together, and therefore have no reason to want their relationship to work out. Or, for that matter, to think that it ever could. That criticism aside, however, pretty much everyone finds at least one supporting actor to praise (though of course they can't agree on who is good and who is annoying), so that's something.

Vince and Jen are not believeable together in the movie just didn't feel the chemistry. The actor who plays Jen's brother was good and there were very few laughable moments in the film.

Now Vince V career will be over, all her movies are bascially her acting like she did in Friends. The movie was disappointing and made no sense. She wanted him and than he does what she wants and than she does not want him? Sounds like her obsession with Brad, let him live his life and she should stop talking about wanting a child, she had all those years with Brad to have a child. I doubt it was cause they could not afford it, she wanted to be a big star and just became a miserable woman who got dumped. If it wasnt Angelina it would of been someone else. Just like the movie, why stay if you are unhappy! Talk about beening overrated and overpaid, sorry but Jennifer is so overpaid and so overrated, where is the real talent? Go back to acting school and stop making these movies that bomb out, we pay $10 for a movie and what a waste. Sorry Vince you are so funny but this movie did no justice for you.
